This article is one in a series of updated news posts. In this article, two well-established politicians, CPM (Communist Party) general secretary Prakash Karat and AICC (All India Congress Committee) general secretary Rahul Gandhi, continue their argument over the positions and resistances between embracing Capitalism and Marxism.

While this article has an economic core to it, Capitalism and Marxism, I found the article politically interesting because of the large number of political parties within the India governmental system. Unlike our dominant two-party system in the U.S., India recognizes seven national political parties and numerous small statewide political parties (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_parties_in_India). The influence of several political parties may cause drastic rivalries and coalition-building. When political parties embrace completely different ideology, in this case Marxism and Capitalism, we would have to consider what sort of policies will be formed that impact the Indian people. Further questions could be asked regarding how Indian lobbying affects the policies and how those policies may or may not reflect upon the political ideology of the public.
