Blog # 1: Indian Political Issues and Institutions (Sept 11-17)

In our first series of blogs we will discuss important current or historical political issues and institutions in India. Your task is as follows:

First locate one online resource (it could be a website, a newspaper, periodical or journal article, or a video). In your blog, , first post a link to the source. Then in a single paragraph (not more than 5-6 sentences please), paraphrase one or two (not more) important aspects of the resource that gives you insights into India's political climate and context. Try Google or Google Scholar(preferred) as resources in your search.

In the next paragraph (again no more than 5-6 sentences please) analyze briefly what this resource tells you about the political climate in India. There are many ways you can do so. For example, your analysis could be comparative: you could describe how the political institutions in India (apparently) differ from U.S. political institutions. It could also include questions that arise in your mind that you would like answered in order to better understand political realities in India.

Finally during the week please spend some time reading and commenting on the blogs of your fellow-travelers.
